What is Reiki?
Thought to have originated in Tibet Reiki, (Ray-Key), is a safe,
holistic, hands-on energy therapy which promotes and accelerates the
body’s own innate healing abilities. It operates on physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual levels clearing the body of toxins
and balancing the
body as a whole. Reiki, (meaning Universal Life Force Energy, Chi, Prana, Spirit, depending on which culture you come from), can
also enhance the body’s vitality and healing rate, stimulating
and strengthening the immune system. Reiki treats the body as a
whole and is also a valuable aid to self-development as it can also
increase intuitive and creative abilities.
How does Reiki work?
This Universal Life Force Energy which is Reiki exists in all living
things. The practitioner is attuned to the source of this Universal
Energy by a Reiki Master and becomes a channel for the Reiki energy.
The Reiki energy passes through the hands of the practitioner into
the client who remains clothed throughout and the practitioner will
place his/her hands where appropriate either on the body or off the
body in the energy field. A session usually last for approximately
one hour and is a relaxing experience. Some conditions may need
several treatments whereas others will be relieved in one session.
It can be used on its own or alongside other therapies and orthodox
medicine.
Reiki attunements can only only be given by a fully initiated
Reiki Master.

In the Reiki II class you are taught three symbols to use which will
greatly enhance your use of the Reiki energy. You will also receive
a healing attunement followed by the Reiki II attunement which will
enable you to use these symbols. There is also a substantial
increase in the amount of Reiki energy that you can channel.
The three symbols that you will receive are:
- The Power Symbol
- The Mental/Emotional Symbol
- The Absent/Distant Symbol
The Power Symbol is used to increase the power of the Reiki energy
during a treatment. It can also be used to clear a room of negative
energy or for self protection.
The Mental/Emotional Symbol can be used with any sort of emotional
distress such as nervousness, fear, depression, anger, sadness etc.,
It can also be used as an aid to overcoming bad habits or to
encourage new ones.
The Absent/Distant Symbol enables you to send healing to people not
in the same room as you, at any distance. It can also help to heal
past traumas or be sent ahead to future events. such as interviews or
meetings, to create an atmosphere of understanding, confidence and
co-operation. In fact any time where you feel that you may need a
little extra help you can send Reiki energy ahead of time to prepare
the way.
You well learn how to clear negative energy in a room, how to
protect yourself and your family, your pets, your home, your car
etc., using Reiki.
You will be given plenty of time to learn how to draw the symbols
and how to use them, with plenty of practise time.
You will receive and introduction to working with Crystals. You will also meet the Reiki guides who are working with
you and learn to work with their energies.

Throughout all courses emphasis is placed upon building a
sympathetic rapport with whomever you are treating, whether it is a
family member or a member of the public. It is important to remember
that the Reiki healing is not done by us but through
us, knowing that whomever we are treating
will receive exactly what they need at any given moment. Some people
will come to us in preference to seeking professional medical help
and whilst Reiki can help with a variety of different problems,
sometimes resolving the matter entirely, it is no substitute for
medical assistance and this should be made clear at the outset.
Important note.
Reiki is not intended to replace proper medical care which should
be sought if you have any doubts surrounding healthcare issues.
